Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC (CMAG) has announced the addition of Peter N. Schaeffer as partner of the investment banking and advisory services firm. Schaeffer will focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital sourcing, strategic advisory and restructuring in the retail and consumer goods industries.

“Peter Schaeffer brings a wealth of experience in the retail and consumer products industries, as an investment banker, equity analyst and retail executive,” said Mark L. Before joining CMAG, Schaeffer was a founding managing director and global leader of the retail and consumer products investment banking group at Giuliani Capital Advisors LLC. Prior to that, he was a senior equity analyst at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, where he covered the branded consumer and retail sectors. He was previously a director and senior retail equity analyst at Warburg Dillon Read. Schaeffer also has more than 20 years of experience in the retail industry including senior level executive positions at both Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s.
