TeleZapper
Anti-Telemarketer Product Promotion
The TeleZapper from Privacy Technologies tricks predictive
dialing computers, used by many telemarketers, into thinking that
a phone number has been disconnected. The telemarketing phone calls
then stop, and over time the consumer is removed from more telemarketing
lists and telemarketing calls until telemarketing calls are eliminated
completely.
Falls Communications was called upon to create and implement a
media launch plan that would introduce the TeleZapper and its benefits
to targeted consumers and select media outlets. This was successfully
accomplished through an extensive PR campaign that included a dimensional
mailer, a New York media tour, a video news release, an HTML e-alert
and a specially crafted local broadcast consumer reporter Does
It Work product sample plan.
In total, publicity from the launch resulted in more than 160 million
impressions in print and broadcast coverage in publications such
as The Wall Street Journal, Good Housekeeping, Womans Day,
Ladies Home Journal, Good Morning America, CNN and CBS News This
Morning. Additionally the TeleZapper was also featured on 722 local
and broadcast stations. Most important, the TeleZappers first
years sales exceeded its initial market forecast by 212%.
